This recipe is fast, foolproof and extremely easy to make. It is well worth the slight effort involved in making it.
Ingredients
3 ounces chocolate (unsweetened).
4 tbsp [60ml] margarine
4½ cups [1125g] powdered sugar
⅓ cup [85ml] instant skimmed powdered milk
½ cup [125ml] light corn syrup
1 tbsp [15ml] water
1 tsp [5ml] vanilla extract.
½ cup [125ml] chopped nuts (optional)
Making the Chocolate Fudge
Melt the chocolate and margarine in the top of a 2 quart double boiler.
Sift together the powdered sugar and dry milk
Stir the corn syrup, water and vanilla into the chocolate mixture
Stir in the sugar and dry milk in two additions.
Continue stirring until mixture is well blended and smooth.
Remove from heat and stir in the nuts.
Turn into a greased 8 inch square pan.
Cool and cut the chocolate fudge into squares
