Recipes For Banana Blackberry Smoothie and Banana Blueberry
Smoothie
These health drinks are especially effective if you use natural acidolphus probiotic yogurt.
This means you shouldn't use frozen yogurt in these recipes or anywhere else for that matter as the cultures are destroyed and the health benefits of the yogurt are lost
Banana Blackberry Smoothie
Ingredients
(serves 3-4)
2 large bananas
1 cup blackberries
1 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt
1 cup cracked ice cubes
To Make the Smoothie
Peel the bananas and chop them coarsely,
Wash and drain the blackberries
Blend the bananas, blackberries and the yoghurt together until smooth
Add the ice cubes and blend on high until frothy and creamy
Pour the banana blackberry smoothie into 4 glasses, serve immediately
Banana Blueberry Smoothie
Ingredients:
2 large ripe bananas
1½ cup blueberries [ frozen preferred but can be fresh ]
½ cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
1½ cup skim milk
1 cup of crushed ice
Making the Banana Blueberry Smoothie
Peel and coarsely chop the Bananas
Wash and drain the blueberries, if using fresh
Place all the ingredients in a blender.
Blend until smooth and frothy.
Pour your banana blueberry smoothie into 4 glasses and serve.
