CHOCOLATE FUDGE BARS

Chocolate Fudge Bar Ingredients

1 stick butter.
2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate squares.
1 cup sugar.
2 eggs.
1 cup flour.
½ teaspoon salt.
½ teaspoon baking soda.
½ vanilla or peppermint extract.
1 cup chocolate chips.
For the Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk -- or more.
½ teaspoon peppermint extract.

Making the Fudge Bars

Melt the butter and the unsweetened chocolate.
When the bowl is cool add the sugar beat in the eggs, mix in the flour, the salt and baking soda.
Add the vanilla and spread into a greased jellyroll pan.
Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and bake at 350° Fahrenheit for eight minutes.
To make the Glaze.
Mix all the ingredients together.
It should be like a glaze that will pour thickly.
Add a couple of drops of food colouring if desired. When the cookies come out of the oven, spread the glaze.
Cool slightly, and cut, the Chocolate Fudge Bars, into the desired size, whilst still warm
